Diego Salas, better known as Salas CR, is a DJ born in San José, and raised in Artola, Costa Rica, who has been passionate about music since childhood. He started by DJing at his own birthday parties and those of his friends, and as he got older, his passion for music grew, leading him to pursue a career in DJing.
Inspired by a DJ he saw at a student event, Salas CR began DJing during his first year of school, and over the past 15 years, he has performed not only in Costa Rica but also in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, and Slovakia. He not only cares about music but also about people and wants to help those in need someday.
Salas CR loves Mexico and France where the “music vibes are just amazing.” Throughout his career, he has experimented with different musical styles, starting with roots reggae and eventually settling into house music, which he says fills him the most. He later discovered Organic House, a mystical style with acoustic and tribal sounds with slower, deeper, and meditative tones, which has become his primary inspiration for creating his music.
His love for music and his desire to share it with others led him to start his own company, which provides musical services for events, weddings, and private parties.
As a true creator, Salas CR draws inspiration from his surroundings, especially the beautiful landscapes of his hometown Playas Del Coco, Guanacaste where he has been living for the past seven years. His dream is to DJ in Mykonos, St. Tropez, and Cappadocia one day.
